No. We believe that offshore staff augmentation is best served under the skillful guidance of your own management team. Windward will actively support and facilitate the ongoing communications process, training, and staffing logistics from an HR perspective only. In special cases where local project management is not available, Windward can help facilitate in constructing the proper framework for your unique needs.

This level of protection is often not available when doing business directly with foreign companies. Welcome to OFFSHORE 2.0! We’ve experienced poor quality in the past too, that’s why we started Windward; the next generation of working with overseas resources. There are typically three prevalent models in offshore IT today which include the practice of blindly moving requirements overseas and hoping something good comes back, maintaining a foreign- language speaking manager domestically, or owning a massive amount of your own infrastructure overseas. Consider your last experience with a foreign call-center for your credit card, travel plans, or IT tech support. Despite ‘cultural training’ exercises, communicating directly with those foreign resources can be an extremely challenging experience. No. Windward has multiple solutions to mitigate time zone pain regaining from a blended work- week all the way to 3rd shift labor which will match your own local time zone anywhere in the world.
HOW CAN I GET THE MOST BANG FOR MY BUCK USING YOUR SYSTEM?
Windward was founded by C-Level technology professionals whose primary focuses center on quality and transparency. Sending your entire team overseas is not the correct strategy. Sending your creative brain overseas is not the correct strategy. You will maximize your investment if you augment your team with highly talented resources that can be onboard faster and at a lower cost than their domestic counterparts.

WE EMPLOY A RIGOROUS PRESCREENING PROCESS. CAN WE STILL USE IT?
Yes. Our staff are all pre-screened but may be administered your own tests, process, and manual HR pre-interview as well.
WE ONLY SUPPORT FULL-TIME W2 CANDIDATES – WILL THIS WORK FOR US?
No. Windward can only support the ‘contract’ hourly employee concept at this time. If your agency supports 10-99 or C2C IT contractors, then we are a perfect fit for you.
HOW CAN THIS BE COMPETITIVE DESPITE ADDING ANOTHER LAYER?
Windward wholesale pricing remains competitive against domestic labor despite the labor. If your client needs to ramp up a sizable team in a short amount of time, this is a very viable recommendation as augmentation to your own labor pool.
WILL WINDWARD CREATE MY WEBSITE FOR ME?
Semantics if you please. Windward will help you startup your own team to work at your specific direction. Like a staffing agency, Windward will not take part in your project specifics our focus is on providing you with high quality staff only. Through Windward, you may quickly find a team capable of fully constructing your website or mobile application, however, you will be responsible for managing them directly.
CAN I OUTSOURCE MY IT TEAM ENTIRELY TO WINDWARD?
Although possible, Windward does not recommend a complete and entire outsource of your team. In our experience, offshore works best when there is a complementary onshore team, particularly on the project management, architecture, and creative side of the equation.
CAN WINDWARD HOST MY SOFTWARE APPLICATIONS?
No. Windward is capable of providing high quality IT Software Development staff and IT Software Quality Assurance (Testers) only. Windward does not maintain its own datacenter.
